The Park!

Peyla's new favorite place is the great park that our friends showed to us. She loves to crawl around in the grass and hit the playground. I think her favorite part is watching everybody!

Happy girl!

Gratitude

While I went on a walk with Peyla today, I couldn't help but think of all the things I am grateful for. As I went through my "list", I realized just how wonderful we have it. So I thought I would share...(in no particular order!)

1. I am grateful for the way my heart lifts when I see Peyla smile. Or sleep. Or crawl. Or discover something new. You get the point!

2. I am grateful for the warmth and comfort that comes with my husband's company.

3. I am grateful for the health and wellbeing of my family. They mean everything to me.

4. I am grateful for the support and laughter of my friendships. I may have a small circle but they have my loyalty forever!

5. I am grateful for today being my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary, they have taught me that love truly can last a lifetime.

6. I am grateful that my body is sore and tired today- it means it worked hard and is fully able.

7. I am grateful that my child will never go hungry. Too many millions of parents have to face that heartbreak every day.

8. I am grateful that it was spring-like warm today but still with a hint of the winter chill. It reminds me not to rush life.

9. I am grateful for challenges and adversity because it's only then that I can see what I am made of.

10. And I am grateful to see this little face every day!

Learning to eat

Peyla has been attempting to eat finger foods since she's now mastered the "pincer grasp" (grabbing small items). However, she really doesn't like it yet! We've tried baby puffs, mashed banana, soft veggies...she's not a fan! We will keep trying...

"What? Do I have something on my face?"

This is the look we get!

"What IS this stuff???"

So Delinquent!

I have been so behind in posting pictures of Peyla! She continues to change so fast, I get lost in just soaking up the time with her. Here are a few random shots (she puts up with my camera practice)!

Over-exposing in my feeble attempt to capture light prisms!

I can't resist that face.

Her face gets adorably scrunched up when she sleeps in the carseat. :)
