Peaches!

Such a lovely place!
Getting ready for a train ride

Sweet face :)

We took Peyla to the annual Peach Festival at Schnepf Farms recently and had a great time! It was a bit of a drive to get there but worth it. How can a girl resist a train ride, wildflowers, and peach EVERYTHING?? We ate our fill of peach cinnamon rolls and took home the best.peach.pie.ever. We will definitely make this an annual tradition!

Catching a ride

Peyla loves riding high on her daddy's shoulders...the world must look much neater from that point of view!

Mother's Day

Peyla and Brendon were so sweet in planning a little outing for us on Mother's Day. "They" packed a cooler full of breakfast items and Daddy's Bears blanket and we had a delicious picnic in the park. It was so early (6:30! thanks Peyla!) that we were the only ones there. It felt like we were having our own little party while the world was still asleep! We topped the day off with Peyla swimming for the first time in her kiddie pool...perfect day!!

Sweet girl

Grammie & Grampa

We visited my folks last weekend for a delicious Sunday dinner. Peyla always loves her time at the ranch (their house) and of course basks in all their attention!

Grampa has first dibs on cuddle time.
Grammie is trying to coax Peyla away...

In the end, Grammie wins!!

My First Pony

Peyla is a lucky girl and already received her first pony (spoiled)! Grandpa & Grandma Klawonn came to visit her last week and brought her this great new toy. She's going to be a cowgirl!

Yippeee!

You've Got Mail!

Peyla received a card in the mail from her grandparents and had the best time opening it! And flipping it. And chewing it. And throwing it. and so on.... ;)

"is this for me?"
so studious...

then she showed off her standing skills!

Easter!

Easter was so fun with peyla that I shamefully didn't get many photos! Peyla woke up to the easter basket that was left for her by the Easter Bunny. Then we quickly cleaned up and headed to Brendon's parents' house to celebrate!

My grandmother Margie

Brendon's great-uncle Tom (I hope he is imparting some great wisdom to Peyla!)

Grammy's brunch

Peyla's first Easter was such a wonderful time! We spent Saturday (the day before) at my mom's house for a lovely family brunch. Grammy and Grandpa gave Peyla the basket that was left for her by the Easter bunny. She was a little unsure at first but then it was pure excitement!

Trying out Grammy's new patio furniture and the chair made just for Peyla!

The Butterfly Exhibit

Brendon & I took Peyla to see the butterfly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens last week. The exhibit was a small pavilion with several hundred butterflies in it and it was awesome! Peyla seemed to have more fun watching all of the other kids (there were several school bus loads!) than the butterflies. I think they were a little difficult for her to focus on. I tried to get some good photos but they just didn't turn out. We did, however, enjoy practicing some shots around the beautiful gardens!

Our own little butterfly! :)

Shhhh....

there is a mystical being in our midst! I captured a unicorn frolicking around our home!

More Mexico pictures...

Viva Mexico!

We headed south of the border to celebrate my mother's birthday last weekend and Peyla loved Mexico! She enjoyed the beach and loved the sound of the ocean. One stroller ride on the beach and she was soon asleep!
Mommy & Me shot Cuddling with her Nana
She loved bathtime in Grammy's fancy tub!

Where is the Easter Bunny??

Peyla has been patiently waiting for the Easter Bunny's arrival. In the meantime, she found her own bunny ears and decided to pretend!

Lightroom Fun!

I have been playing around with the Adobe Lightroom photo-editing program and I love the fun effects! Here are a few of them...
Peyla loves her musical table!

I couldn't help it- had to make a baby-hawk.
My favorite photo of Brendon and his girl. We were introducing Peyla to my brother's new puppies and she stayed close to Brendon at first! Daddy The Protector. :)
